MoASBO Announced New Board President
On July 1, 2025, Dr. Geoff Macy, SFO, was announced as the board president of the Missouri Association of School Business Officials (MoASBO) for the 2025-2026 school year. Dr. Macy serves as the assistant superintendent of business and finance for the Ladue School District.
Dr. Macy has been an active member of MoASBO for more than 13 years and has earned the Certified Administrator of School Finance and Operations (SFO) certification from the Association of School Business Officials International. He has been engaged in several MoASBO committees, including the Professional Development Committee and the Spring Conference Committee. Additionally, he has chaired the Legislative Committee and served on the MoASBO Board of Directors.
"I am honored to serve as the next president of MoASBO, and I look forward to working alongside our members, listening to new ideas, and advancing the mission of MoASBO and public education as a whole," Dr. Macy stated. "As president, I am dedicated to focusing on three key priorities: 1. Empowering leadership by providing members with high-quality professional development that cultivates leadership at all levels; 2. Continuing the culture of collaboration that has been the foundation of MoASBO; and 3. Advocating for education and supporting our members' voices throughout the state as we engage in discussions about education policy, school finance, and operational best practices. Although our work may happen behind the scenes, its impact is evident in every Missouri classroom."
With more than 27 years of experience in public education, Dr. Macy has held various roles, including teacher, coach, dean of students, assistant principal, principal, chief operating officer, and assistant superintendent of business and finance. His extensive background in education has given him a profound understanding of the complexities of school operations and their overall impact on students, staff, and budgets.
Dr. Macy is committed to serving others, whether by ensuring fiscal integrity within the school district, contributing to leadership initiatives, or supporting his community. He has held leadership positions such as President of the High Ridge Rotary Club, Vice President of the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce, and Board Member of the Jefferson County Growth Association. In 2016, he was honored as Educator of the Year by SASSP for his work in facilitating a successful bond issue.
