MoASBO Leaders Unite in D.C.

MoASBO had the opportunity to attend the 2025 ASBOI Legislative Advocacy Conference, held from July 8 to July 10 in Washington, D.C.

This annual conference, hosted by ASBOI and AASA, brings together school leaders from across the country to advocate for federal policies that support public education.

During the conference, Missouri leaders met with members of the state’s congressional delegation to discuss the impact of federal legislation on local school districts. The following topics were addressed in these meetings:

• IRS Arbitrage rules
• Delay of FY25 funding to districts
• Budget proposal to cut $6 billion from K-12 education

This experience was a great demonstration of our unity in advocating for public education.
