Member Spotlight: Let's Get to Know Kat Andrew

Meet Kat Andrew, the Director of Finance of the Odessa R-VII District. She has been a member of the Missouri Association of School Business Officials (MoASBO) for over four years.

Kat believes it's essential to connect with colleagues and ask questions. "Don't be afraid to listen to new ideas and ask questions - even if they seem small," said Kat.

Let's get to know her a bit better:

Question 1: What do you love about your job?

Response: I love helping streamline processes for my district. 

Question 2: Can you share an achievement that makes you proud?

Response:  Achieving my SFO Certification. I encourage every SBO to be a continuous learner.

Question 3: In your spare time, what activities do you enjoy?

Response: I love reading, spending time outdoors, and working in my garden. 

Question 4: What is the most challenging thing about your job?

Response: The most challenging part of my job is telling people no. Sometimes, people forget that I must look at the big picture rather than what the individual wants.
