North Kansas City Schools is Hiring a Financial Reporting Coordinator

MANAGEMENT – COORDINATOR, FINANCIAL REPORTING (PROFESSIONAL STAFF)

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Advanced degree or professional certification as a Certified Public Accountant is preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in a position of comparable responsibility; school district and governmental fund accounting background is preferred.
  • Knowledge of GAAP accounting procedures (fund accounting or governmental) and financial office business practices.
  • Possesses superior organization skills with the ability to multi task and work independently.
  • Ability to organize and maintain complex ledger systems of relevant financial information.
  • Ability to operate automated general ledger system with proficiency with P/C based spreadsheet software.
  • Ability to interact with and guide fellow employees and building/departmental personnel in an effective, efficient manner. (Cabinet members, Directors, Principals, Coordinators and others)
  • Possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and physical attributes necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Demonstrates effective human relations and communication skills.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate or acceptable.

REPORTS TO:                                                                  Controller – Executive Director

 

JOB GOAL:                                                                          Under the supervision of the Controller, ensure the effective, efficient, and timely coordination and processing of all financial transactions of the North Kansas City Schools.
