MoASBO Announces the Support Staff Member of the Year

We are excited to announce Lavenia Draper as this year's Support Staff Member of the Year. Draper was nominated by her peers for exhibiting qualities and attributes that reflect dedication, collaboration Image of Lavenia and contributions to her district and community. 
 
Draper is the business specialist for the  City of St. Charles School District. 
 
According to the nomination information, "Lavenia spends countless hours developing and assisting with the district’s budget. In addition to working on the budget, she works on payroll benefits, annual board report and DESE Civil Rights reporting."
 
Recognition committee chair, Kelly Genge, commented, "I'm honored and excited to recognize a MoASBO member who possesses such dedication."
 
Genge noted that Ms. Draper has worked to make the business office more efficient and continues her professional development by attending MoASBO conferences, workshops, webinars, financial management trainings and software courses. 
 
Outside of work, Draper continues to give back by volunteering in her community, church and other non-profits including: Girl Scout parent volunteer, PTO member, Boys & Girls Club volunteer and community coach.
