Registration is through the member portal, which is a comprehensive platform for managing essential information about your district and you. Moreover, the Portal facilitates event registration for both members and non-members. After you log in to the portal, visit the My Professional Development and Event Tab.

Cost:
MoASBO members receive access to webinars at no cost and access to the recording(s). Participation fee is $45 per webinar for non-members. There are no refunds.
2025-26 Webinar Sessions that qualify for CPE credit are designated with an asterisk (*). Sessions are subject to change without notification. Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit will be awarded to CPAs seeking credit who attend designated session(s) and participate in polling questions and post webinar survey. All sessions are monitored and recorded.

*Mental Well-Being: Working to Overcome Burnout
If you’ve felt that the pace of change has only accelerated since the onset of the pandemic in 2020, you are not alone. While changes during the pandemic were necessary to meet the needs of the moment, the reality is that school districts are still struggling with a variety of mental well-being issues not the least of which is burnout.
This pace of rapid change has put tremendous pressure on teachers and administrative staff. Research conducted by RAND in 2022 reveals three critical findings:
1.Widespread burnout is real
2.Working conditions that negatively impacted 1= areas of well-being include:
- Work more than 40 hours/week
- More responsibilities due to staffing shortages (teachers only)
- Exposed to school violences or the threat of school violence
- Harassed 1+ times regarding school COVID-19 policies
- Harassed 1+ times regarding teaching about race, racism and bias
- Experienced 1+ incidents of racial discrimination
3.Teachers and staff indicate that working conditions that positively impacted 1+ areas of well-being include:
- Received administrative support
- Reported active involvement in school or district decision making
- Access to 1+ district-provided mental health supports
Learning objectives include:
- Explain the connection between mental well-being and workplace satisfaction and performance
- Discuss key workplace contributors to educator mental well-being
- Identify examples of district well-being initiatives in action
