2024 MoASBO Hall of Fame Inductee:
Dr. Chris Straub

Dr. Chris Straub, a former Jefferson City superintendent, has been inducted into the MoASBO 2024 Hall of Fame. 

This recognition honors the men and women who have led Missouri educators and MoASBO members over the years.

Dr. Chris Straub began his career in education in  1966 and served  as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, and superintendent. He was the assistant executive director for the Missouri Association of School Administrators, and lobbyist for the Missouri School Boards Association. In 2016, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education awarded Chris the Pioneer in Education Award.

"This recognition honors the men and women who have led Missouri educators and MoASBO members over the years,” MoASBO Executive Director Kim Cranston said. “Dr. Straub has performed significant and lasting actions that have had a statewide impact on the growth and advancement of our mission.”

2023 MoASBO Hall of Fame Inductee Dr. William Rebore

Dr. William Rebore, a long-time MoASBO member, has been inducted into the MoASBO 2023 Hall of Fame. 

This recognition honors the men and women who have led Missouri educators and MoASBO members over the years.

Bill Rebore, Ph.D., has been involved with education in Missouri for the past 53 years. Starting as a social studies teacher at Valley Park High School in 1968, he also served as the middle school principal, high school principal, and Superintendent of Schools before leaving the School District in 1979 to join the administrative staff of the Francis Howell School District in St. Charles County. After serving two years as the Assistant Superintendent for Finance, he was appointed Superintendent of Schools in 1981, a position he held until he accepted academic work from Saint Louis University in 1987. During his academic career at Saint Louis University, he served as the Associate Dean of the College of Education and Public Service and the Department of Educational Leadership Chairperson. He holds the title of Professor Emeritus of Educational Leadership in the School of Education. He also serves as the Managing Principal of LDR-Administrative Services, LLC.

In addition to his years of service as a MoASBO member, a teacher, and an administrator, he authored/co-authored two books in the area of School Finance and School Business Administration.
