GOAL 1: SERVICE/PROGRAMS
MoASBO will offer services and programs to meet the diverse and emergent needs of its members.
- MoASBO will develop new technological training/professional services to increase services beyond the Spring and Fall workshops.
- MoASBO will coordinate with other organizations (i.e. MASA/MSBA) to deliver professional development to general membership on emerging issues as they arise.
- MoASBO will develop and deliver professional development sessions on a regional basis - both fundamental and advanced.

- MoASBO will ensure all governance documents are designed and presented in a professional manner to serve the professional interest of the organization.
- MoASBO will develop a succession plan for the Board Officers.
- MoASBO will institute the agreed changes in governance of Associate Members serving as Board Members.
GOAL 3: STAKEHOLDERS
MoASBO will expand its recruitment of School Business Officials and Business Office Personnel who are not currently members of MoASBO.
- MoASBO will institute a direct mail and phone campaign for non-members, targeting those districts with no current MoASBO members.
- Executive Director will attend meetings of other educational organizations to promote MoASBO membership.
- Encourage existing members to contact prospective members.
- The Executive Director will be a presence throughout the state to members and actively encourage nonmembers to join the Association
GOAL 4: FINANCIAL STEWARDSHIP
Ensure revenue is adequate to provide necessary resources to fund MoASBO’s Strategic Plan
- Prior to the beginning of the fiscal year the Executive Director will present a budget to the Board of Directors for approval that reflects anticipated revenues and expenditures.
- Prior to the upcoming fiscal year, the Executive Director will make recommendations to the Board of Directors to establish fee structures necessary to fund the programs and activities of MoASBO.
- During it regular meetings the Board of Directors will review its financial status in terms of anticipated versus actual revenues and expenditures and make changes necessary to insure the Organization continues to meet its financial obligations for the year.
GOAL 5: ADVOCACY
Strengthen our efforts at the State and National levels.
- Lead a coordinated effort with other state organizations to develop legislation favorable to school districts.
GOAL 6: PROFESSIONALISM
Promote and enhance the highest professional standards of association members.
- MoASBO will consider and act on recommendations from the Ethics Committee regarding the status of members.
- MoASBO will increase the number of members who are registered in the current MoASBO and/or ASBO programs.
- MoASBO will partner with universities, ASBO International, and DESE to provide the requirements of a certification program centered on mandatory core competencies in school business management.
GOAL 7: IMAGE
Promote and enhance the professional image and reputation of MoASBO with Boards of Education, Legislators, regulatory agencies, and other educational associations.
- Petition to be a voting member of the education roundtable.
- Increase visibility of the Executive Director and members with legislators and other elected officials.
- MoASBO will seek avenues to enhance the public image of its members.
